About Me
Hi! My name is Lori McDonald and I am the creative force behind Beloved Keepsakes. My journey began many years ago after marrying my husband Andrew.
On our first wedding anniversary Andrew came home and said that he would be deploying to Iraq in a few weeks. I wanted to have something that I could carry with me that would be a daily reminder of him while he was gone. Thus the first photo bracelet was created.
After wearing the bracelet to work everyday for nearly nine months, co-workers started asking me if I could make them one… and Beloved Keepsakes began.
In 2004, Andrew was to be deployed again. My mother suggested making a yellow ribbon lapel pin with Andrew’s photo attached so that friends and family could wear it in his honor while he was gone. Hence, the photo ribbon pin was born.
In May of 2007 I became a designer for Paperthreads - This is an amazing on line store where you can purchase electronic files that can be cut with a personal cutting machine.
When I am not busily working on Beloved Keepsakes items, I can usually be found in my scrapbooking room where I spend hours preserving the memories of our family.
I am an extremely proud military wife, very active in my church, and I love to read and jetski! Well, there you have it... just a little about me.
